THE 2005 BUSINESS AND HUMAN RIGHTS SEMINAR:
Exploring Responsibility and Complicity

The Business and Human Rights Seminar is an international seminar for leaders from business, government and society. The Seminar took place in London on 8 December 2005. This was the third year of this event which is co-ordinated by an inter-agency steering and advisory group. This year the focus of this strategic international event was how business can guard against accusations of complicity in human rights abuses and address the related responsibilities this might entail.

- Guide for Integrating Human Rights into Business Management

This is a joint report of the Business Leaders Initiative on Human Rights, the United Nations Global Compact and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights. It has been published as a Consultation Draft. The deadline for comments/and or additions has now closed and we would like to thank everyone who contributed to the consultation process. A new version of the Guide is being developed for publication in April. We hope that this Guide, which provides signposts to good practice, will help companies make human rights a central part of their business.
